On the anniversary of GKB № 1 received two new objects

In the year of the 190th anniversary celebration of GKB № 1, the construction of the transition between the pediatric and surgical buildings, as well as the modernization of the laboratory service, is completed. The implementation of these projects was possible thanks to the support of the Governor of the Chelyabinsk Region, Boris Dubrovsky, and funds allocated from the budget of Chelyabinsk.

The progress of work today, on the eighth of November, was assessed by the First Deputy Head of the City, Natalya Kotova: "The need to build a transition was obvious. This problem is long overdue. We are glad that our proposal was included in the program "Real Affairs". The Governor of the Chelyabinsk Region, Boris Dubrovsky, allocated 20 million rubles for these purposes. By the end of November, the builders promise to complete the finishing works, and we will receive a full-fledged facility that will facilitate the interaction of the hospital's departments, which will positively affect the quality of patient care".

Dmitry Tarasov, Chief Hospital of the City Clinical Hospital № 1, added that the warm transition was indeed a long-awaited object. And its construction would be impossible without such strong support from the leadership of the region.

"The absence of a transition made it difficult for the other medical and diagnostic departments of the hospital to interact: resuscitation, children's surgery, and an operating unit. In addition, its appearance will help dilute the flow of small and adult patients in the emergency room, which will also only have a positive effect on accessibility and quality", said Dmitry Tarasov.

Now it will be possible to carry out fast and comfortable patient delivery after surgical treatment to the children's intensive care unit without the threat of possible complications associated with transportation on the street, and medical students will be engaged in lecture halls of the new facility. Recall, on the basis of City Clinical Hospital № 1, 8 departments of South-Ural State Medical University function. Here students are trained, interns and interns. New audiences will help to unload the rooms in the hospital buildings, which can be distributed for the provision of medical care. The total area of the two-story transition building was 1100 square meters.

Also, in order to optimize the treatment and diagnostic process, a large-scale structural reorganization of the integrated laboratory service was held at the first city hospital.

According to Dmitry Tarasov, this has resulted in an increase in the number of laboratory tests: for example, hemostasiogram is now available to patients of City Clinical Hospital №. 1 - a mandatory analysis for providing emergency care in certain life-threatening conditions. Also in the updated service, the laboratory information system (LIS) was introduced into the work, which will later be integrated into the global information system MIS "BARS". Now the combined laboratory service of the City Clinical Hospital No. 1 performs more than two million tests a year, conducts more than 300 types of research for both departments of the hospital and other medical and preventive institutions of the city.

"The task was to concentrate all laboratory tests in one place. Until now, they were held in 60 different rooms, which were "scattered" in the hospital, - says Natalia Kotova. - At the moment the laboratory is located on the same floor. New equipment was purchased here: analytical devices, autoclaves, centrifuges, refrigeration equipment, boxes, information system introduced. A total of 19 million rubles were invested from the regional, city budget and the hospital's own funds. Of course, the launch of the updated laboratory will positively affect both the quality and the speed of research".
