Died Vadim Pavlovich Solovyov

Acting head of Chelyabinsk Vladimir Elistratov and the city Administration Express their deepest condolences to the relatives and friends of the suddenly deceased Vadim Pavlovich Solovyov. Honorary citizen of Chelyabinsk passed away yesterday, February 11, at the age of 71.

Vadim Pavlovich is known to fellow countrymen as Komsomolsky, party and statesman, but most of all he was remembered by all of us as the first Governor of Chelyabinsk region. Born on March 3, 1947. He graduated with honors from the Chelyabinsk engineering College, then, ten years later, the evening Department of the Chelyabinsk Polytechnic Institute, and in 1987 – the Academy of social Sciences at the CPSU Central Committee.

Vadim Soloviev began his career as a Turner at the Chelyabinsk tractor plant, where he later worked as an engineer. 1970 was on the Komsomol in Chelyabinsk and Moscow. In October 1991, by decree of the President of the Russian Federation Vadim Pavlovich Solovyov was appointed head of the administration of the Chelyabinsk region.

Due to the indifference, professionalism, amazing desire for results, the ability to work effectively, the region under the leadership of Solovyov in the mid-90s in many respects entered the top five leading regions of the Russian Federation.

After retirement, Vadim Pavlovich remained in the ranks and until the last day actively worked for the benefit of his native southern Urals. His merits are noted by various awards of the highest level. He was awarded the order Of Honor, the order of Friendship, the medal for labor distinction, and the gratitude of the President of the Russian Federation.

Chelyabinsk and the entire region have suffered an irreparable loss. We sincerely Express our condolences to the relatives and friends of Vadim Pavlovich. The memory of the great politician, the first Governor of the Chelyabinsk region, an honorary citizen of Chelyabinsk will forever remain in our hearts.
