An exhibition of costumes will open in the opera house

In November, an exhibition of costumes opens at the Chelyabinsk Opera and Ballet Theater. The audience will be presented with Musetta's dress, Eugene Onegin's dress coat, King Sigismund's cloak, Columbine ballet tutu and much more.

In total, the exposition contains about thirty costumes from performances that in different years went on the Chelyabinsk stage.

"For the exhibition, all the costumes were restored, said Rimma Kirillova, Honored Worker of Culture of Russia, artist-decorator. "For example, we decorated Khovansky's fur coat with the 1979 production of "Khovanshchina" with fur and made a headdress for it".

Also on display will be the old royal costume. More than twenty years ago, he was left as a gift by the Bolshoi Theater to Chelyabinsk decorating artists and served as a model for painting fabrics.

The exhibition will be located in the foyer of the third floor - viewers will be able to see it in November.
